Let me introduce myself

My name is Chris Kahanic. I have a weird obsession with finances. Growing up, I quickly realized that I liked talking about money with friends, family, and coworkers. Just an honest interest in seeing how people handled their money. Do they like to spend or save? Do they have a retirement plan or just want to"see what happens"? How do they handle debt? And then I shared what worked for me.

My curiosity transitioned into coaching others. I've found that I have a knack helping people get into financial shape. Just like a personal trainer at a gym. I make a plan, give guidance, and help motivate. Just for finance. And I love it.

why Family man

I do what I do because of my family. My wife and son are my motivation to spend wisely, save carefully, and plan as much as anyone can with an infant. Finding a person's internal drive is key to financial success. What's yours?

It doesn't matter. I have both.

Young and fresh out of college, I forged my own path. I jumped into anything I could try. Small business, real estate, stocks, options. You name it, and I've tried it.

I made some money and I lost some money. Mostly, I was learning like crazy. But at no point did I have a cohesive plan. Finally, I went back to school and studied up on business. I earned my MBA in 2014 with a concentration in finance.

The most important thing I learned from both experiences was  building a plan. Build a plan, and execute the plan. In hindsight, every major mistake I made was directly linked to either not having a plan, or straying from my plan.
